Tariff-free KD? Kraft Heinz seeks exemption from Canada’s U.S. counter-tariffs

As the trade war with the U.S. rages on, Kraft Heinz Canada is asking Ottawa for relief from counter-tariffs, lobbying records show.

The Canadian subsidiary of the American maker of peanut butter, mac and cheese, ketchup and more registered to lobby the federal government on Sept. 16, seeking to “engage with government policymakers regarding Kraft Heinz Canada’s tariff remission requests, including its status and implications.”
