The only websites I allowed to survive my hosting purge...

...are casualty.report and basketballsintrafficcones.com.

I made casualty.report for Weird Web October - it was the only thing I completed for any of the prompts. It displays the most recent research grade mammal bones from iNat.

basketballsintrafficcones.com is self-explanatory.

When I was laid off last year, I went through a bunch of my domains and allowed the ones I had no real plans to use to expire. This included a couple really good ones that I now kind of regret letting go of! Nevertheless I have a couple that I still feel like I should do something useful with. Unfortunately, my mind is completely blank. Zero ideas. I'll probably let the rest of them expire this year if I can't think of anything good to do with them. I feel like I SHOULD do something odd with them, but if you have no good ideas, sometimes you just have to admit defeat. There is no point to FORCING a weird website. (This is the main reason I only ever completed one site for Weird Web October.)

At least it's a lot easier for me to stand up a site now than it was! For both of these sites, getting the files off of AWS was absolutely harder for me than setting them up again with Digital Ocean. It was basically sub-five-minutes to get them up, once I knew what to do!
