Announcing Our AI Data Center’s First Take Your Child to Work Day

Dear Astral Skye Data Center Workers,

When A-Skye first took possession of four thousand acres of your town’s land to build an AI facility the size of three thousand football fields, it gave some of you pause.

You wanted transparency. You wanted oversight. While we couldn’t provide either of those things, we more than made up for it in deceit and unkept promises.

When we opened, we needed just a smidge more water than anticipated, and your wells dried up.

When your electric bills skyrocketed, it was our bad.

In the space of a year, we destroyed the tight-knit fabric that held this community of 130 citizens together. That’s also on us.

Another thing we didn’t anticipate was not being able to provide three hundred good-paying jobs that didn’t require special training or college degrees. We ended up having only about fifteen.

But that’s where you came in.

While most of the local populace left their generational homes, you stuck it out to see what might be available after your farms and ranches folded, and for that we rewarded you with the offer of light maintenance and security jobs that pay a fraction of what you made before, but provide a work experience you are more than qualified to handle.

We simply can’t keep four hundred miles of hallway clear of dust and debris without you, just as we can’t trust that certain bad actors won’t show up and sabotage our precious Vera Rubin processors if we didn’t have 24-7 security monitoring the property.

For this, we thank you.

As a token of our gratitude, we are pleased to announce Astral Skye’s first-ever Take Your Child to Work Day.

Hard hats, push brooms, and name-emblazoned security badges will be provided to every child who attends. You will have the opportunity to showcase your daily routines for the edification of your little one in hopes it will instill a desire in them to remain living here and work for us when we need to obtain fresh humans.

It’s our sincere hope that one day it will be your child who patrols these halls, keeping them safe and tidy so A-Skye will continue charging into the future and beyond!*
