Need help on presentation

I’m struggling with my final illustration project because I can’t come up with a strong original idea. I can use references, stock images, and AI for inspiration, but the final design has to be my own. My biggest problem is that I’m not very good at drawing, so I need something I can realistically build in Illustrator with simple shapes and techniques. But I also don’t want something boring or generic. I want something simple, bold, beautiful, and presentation-worthy , preferably with a strong visual concept that can work as a flat-vector design. I keep looking at other people’s work and thinking everything has already been done, so I end up with nothing. I need to learn how to take a simple idea and turn it into something interesting and original instead of just getting random ideas thrown at me. Basically, I need help figuring out how to think of the concept first , then turn it into a rough sketch that I can actually build.
