Codex vs Claude

I recently downgraded my Codex plan from $100 to $20 and picked up the $20 Claude plan as well, to properly compare the two. The plan was simple: build with Claude Code, review with Codex. CC just finished a feature end to end: clarification, implementation, tests, up to commit. About 400k tokens total session, using roughly 60% of the 5-hour limit (opus 5.5 high). I then handed the result to Codex on astra high for review. It used about 100k tokens reading the codebase, immediately consuming the entire 5-hour limit, before even getting to the actual analysis. Very impressive.
