Case Keenum's emotional moment with his daughter after Bears win ‘is everything'

Case Keenum’s incredible performance on the field during the Bears’ Monday night victory over the Eagles would be tough to top, but an emotional moment with his daughter after the game may have stolen the show.

Footage released by the Bears showed Keenum walking back out onto the field and dropping to the ground as his 5-year-old daughter Cadence raced into his arms.

The two shared a long embrace in what was undoubtedly a memorable moment for the third-string Bears quarterback as he started in his first game since 2023.

“Was that so much fun?” Keenum was heard asking his daughter during their special moment.

Cadence, who was sporting a now-viral pair of Bears-themed bell bottom jeans, is seen steeping out from the hug only to have her dad show off her attire.

“Look at your pants! Can you show them your pants?” he’s heard saying before his daughter steps back and shows off her wardrobe with a few kicks for the cameras.

In an interview with Scott Van Pelt, Cadence was asked whether she plans to rewatch the game with her dad or Bluey.

“The game,” she said confidently.

“She’s my little girl. That’s right,” Keenum added.

Footage of the duo’s hug had fans even more in their feels Monday night.

“That hug just raised every athlete’s dad standards,” one user wrote on X.

“14 years in the league and the highlight of the night is this. football is great,” another commented.

“1,000 days on the bench and the first thing he does is find his kid. that’s why we love this sport,” another wrote.

Keenum passed for two touchdowns in his first start in almost three years, and the Bears shut down Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles for a 27-7 victory on Monday night.

Stepping in for Caleb Williams, Keenum was 24 for 34 for 247 yards. He also scored his first rushing touchdown since 2019 on a 1-yard plunge with 7:19 left, capping a 13-play drive that took more than eight minutes off the clock.

It was Keenum’s first action since he started for Houston in a 36-22 loss to Cleveland on Dec. 24, 2023. Williams was sidelined by a right hamstring injury, and Tyson Bagent backed up Keenum after he cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol on Sunday.

“To get a shot again like this? Yeah, you dream of it,” Keenum said. “That’s why I’m still here doing this when I get knocked down. I got knocked down my whole career. I just keep getting up, coming to work, just keep bouncing back.”
