Is Astra really better at all coding or just making blender demos
When Astra came out, i immediately tried it for everything, and it seemed faster, but not necessarily better. I am working on a large Rust project and have been using Sol Medium / High for a lot of complex work. It is pretty clear that Astra eats tokens like crazy, even Astra low. So I only use Astra at this point for when i need a big design or to do a complicated review. But both Astra and Sol still get stuck in patch loops with long test cycles and can't seem to find their way out. They also both seem to make the same kinds of mistakes. I rarely have seen Astra perform so much better for these kinds of tasks that I think its worth using. Most of the cool one-shot demos i have seen are "Astra make GTA 6" kinds of things, that involve 3D models. My code just looks more like typical backend work with databases and distributed systems. So, at this point, given how fast I am burning tokens on my 20x plans, i am thinking of abandoning Astra altogether and just using Sol. i have 3 20x plans, and I think if we get 1 reset a week, i could probably make it through.
