Is it possible to use xmpp through cloudflare tunneling?

Hello, I am quite new to hosting my own stuff and have spent the last two days trying to figure out how to host xmpp server and for it to work through cloudflare tunneling as I am locked behind CGNAT and am unable to get a public IP. I have tried a few different servers and a lot of different configurations and internet tutorials and documentations, but I havent managed a single time to actually connect to the xmpp server. So I wanna ask, is it even possible? Have I missed something and need to try again or did I just waste two days on something that doesnt work?
