Proxmox/Jellyfin Advice

I have recently setup my proxmox server and am wanting to put Jellyfin on it to watch my collection of shows and films at home however need to sense check if I can do what I want in my head or not. I have managed to mount an external drive to my Proxmox server which houses all the files but I was wondering if it was possible to map that drive on my Windows PC (separate to the server) in order to do file maintenance (adding and renaming new files etc.) in file explorer or if I am better off setting up a VM on the server so I can go into there and complete the task? Or do you have any better suggestions for doing this task?
