Rivalries are forever in international relations. Politics are ephemeral. Who today cares about the deadly quarrels of the Guelphs and Ghibellines? Or the Blues vs Greens of Byzantium? People died for those causes.

So it will be someday with respect to communism, a belief so deranged it couldn’t even last in a nation with no means of dissent.
