As Marineland’s belugas are moved, an Atlantic sanctuary pushes for humane care

The Whale Sanctuary Project, an animal welfare non-profit, registered to lobby the Ontario government to discuss “the humane care and long-term retirement of captive beluga whales.”

The registration was filed after Marineland began relocating its beluga whales in July, following the federal fisheries minister’s approval of the park’s application to move the whales early this year.
