Reggie’s finally crossed over to the afterlife. The Tall Man needs to beware.

Reggie Bannister, at age 80, has sadly passed away. He was of course the great "sidekick" for five of the Phantasm movies, and basically stole every scene. We all remember his four-barreled super-shotgun, his muscle car, his guitar, and his pathetic teensy ponytail.

I think I have the horror chops to say that if I was going into a horror situation, Reggie Bannister is the man I would most want by my side. I'd prefer Reggie to Van Helsing, Ripley, Buffy, or Laurie Strode. The only possible choice that I might hesitate about is if I was offered Ash Williams or Snake Plisskin as well. But even then I think I'd go for Reggie Banister, because Ash and Snake are, fundamentally, a$holes, and Reggie is super likable.

It's tragic that Reggie and Bruce Campbell only appeared in one film together (Bubba Ho Tep, which I strongly recommend), but they didn't really "team up" in it, which is a pity.

Reggie will live in my heart as long as I live. Memories of Reggie invited.

But as far as I am concerned, the Tall Man is in trouble.
