Investing - Theory, News & General • Re: Vanguard Bringing Back Flagship Reps? [See update Oct 15, 2026 below]
I have kept a dedicated rep for years. It has come in handy when I have had some unusual transactions, for example, transferring a large sum of money to Wise for an international transaction. Or dealing with my parents' estates and how to get them to the beneficiaries.
I can make an appointment, have a US-based rep for what that is worth, and I am not looking for any advice.
I do miss the old Vanguard Advantage offering but it was limited (checks officially needed to be >$250). Its demise led me to wander from all-Vanguard and opened an account at Fidelity, along with their credit card (Elan) for a great bank alternative, for my use case.
