Thanks for putting this together Kevin, it's an inspiring read. Do you have any concerns about legal issues that may come to those who tries to disrupt the monopoly? Maybe independent groups would be threatened, but not if it's "the city" since they're the ones who can change municipal laws. I've read sad cases of municipal broadband being block (or worse, retroactively undone) because of court drama when the monopoly ISP had their feelings hurt. I believe sometimes even the state or federal level blocks it. I hope there is a peaceful way to disrupt the monopoly without being locked up in courts.
