Cellular self-organization orchestrates ferroptosis propagation

Local cell-cell interactions give rise to emergent cellular patterns that encode ferroptosis-sensitive and -resistant fates and establish polarized lipid organization within cells. These coupled biochemical and biophysical properties enable self-organized cell populations to orient and confine otherwise isotropic, unbounded ferroptosis propagation, revealing a systems-level mechanism that regulates collective cell fate.
