Comment on Xbox: A Mess, Moving Back To Exclusivity Deals, & The Layoffs Microsoft Promised Wouldn’t Happen by Ninja

I used to subscribe to PC Game Pass even during times I didn't really play anything from the library for months because I was busy with something in another platform. Because it was reasonably priced and I could even get one or two months off with the rewards program. Then they steeply increased the price and made the rewards program a whole lot worse. So they lost the customer. Possibly forever because even if they revert to the a better price and bring decent rewards program back I already decided to go without.

Ironically, I was thinking about getting an Xbox because of the versatility of the platform and the integration with the Windows environment (mostly) because it would provide me with a lot of mobility for decent pricing. No more. A Steam machine or a deck are much more attractive even without subscriptions. And since I can't try games with no risk of losing money if I don't like, I'll be unfolding my skull and crossbones flag every once in a while before adding a game to my library.

Talk about alienating their customers.
