Codex CLI Remote Fix (Windows + Android)

I just fixed cli remote after struggling for a long time (thanks sol 6.1). Originally I was able to see the cli session on my phone: session id, last updated, but never a transcript and couldn't interact like I could with claude code. Recently with the latest updates I could see transcripts of closed cli sessions, but not active ones. Additionally the error changed from gray bars to "Another Codex session is using this task. Finish and close that session, then try again" I am on Windows and used the Coding --> Connections --> Control this PC to connect my phone. To fix it, I disabled the Devices that can control this PC --> Allow connections toggle Then in powershell (non-elevated) I ran codex app-server daemon enable-remote-control codex remote-control pair Then on my my android phone I went to My profile --> Remote Control --> Add Connection --> Pair Manually and entered my pairing code. Hopefully this helps others!
