U.S. Indexes Moved Upward Friday; Crown Castle Topped Leaders
Stock indexes in the U.S. rose Friday with the Dow rising 0.83%. Meanwhile, the NASDAQ Composite Index rose 0.64%, and the S&P 500 Index added 0.59%.
The Russell 2000 Index of small-cap stocks rose 0.49%, while the Cboe Volatility Index was down 3.89%.
Among companies with at least $10 billion in market value, Crown Castle Inc. (CCI), was the biggest leader during the session, jumping 15.60%, and Moderna Inc. (MRNA) surged 14.21%. Humana Inc. (HUM) rounded out the top three leaders on Friday, with shares jumping 11.27%.
T-Mobile US Inc. (TMUS) posted the largest decline, tumbling 13.27%, followed by AST SpaceMobile Inc. (ASTS) shares, which plunged 10.48%. Shares of AT&T Inc. (T) declined 9.85%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 0.36%, while gold futures were up 1.52%. Bitcoin was up 0.03% to $82,274.
The 10-Year Treasury yield climbed to 5.251%.
Stock indexes in Asia were mixed, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index down 0.02% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index up 0.05%.
In Europe, indexes rose, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining 0.97% and the FTSE 100 Index rising 1.06% from the previous close.
