Jackery steps into RVs with built-in 2 kW solar and 45 kWh storage

From ESS News

utdoor and home backup storage maker Jackery has announced it is entering the smart electric trailer market, partnering with California-based Pebble, which makes travel trailers.

Jackery will deliver new custom solar panels and connections that add power to the new 2027 Pebble Flow as an optional extra for buyers who want to add self-reliance through solar power. Together it’s dubbed an “all-new category of mobile off-grid energy”, while noting mobility freedom and power independence.

As for definitions, an RV is a recreational vehicle, a broad term for any motor vehicle or trailer equipped with a place to stay, cook, and live, usually for travel and camping. Defining it further, a trailer can be an RV, though not all RVs are trailers!

In the new Pebble Flow, when parked and deployed, the system delivers approximately 2 kW of additional solar input. The panels connect directly to Pebble Flow’s all-electric microgrid, which pairs a 45 kWh LFP battery with up to 4 kW of combined solar input and up to 12 kW of power export to a home, another RV or an electric tow vehicle.

In response to questions, Jackery confirmed to ESS News that it doesn’t supply the 45 kWh battery, but the new solar add-on setup.

“We didn’t want to just put two logos on a product,” said Bingrui Yang, CEO and founder of Pebble. “Jackery has spent years building portable power that people count on, both at home and outdoors. Their solar panels connect straight into Pebble Flow’s own energy system, so travelers get the same steady, easy-to-use power on the road that they have at home. That’s the idea behind Jackery’s ‘Home on the Road, Power on the Go.’”

Specs and options

In terms of the new Pebble, the Jackery-based add-in is a $4,000 extra for the 2027 Pebble Flow’s ‘Founder Edition’ of the trailer, and goes on top of a list price of $189,000.

The setup includes four high-efficiency 500W solar panels, four matching 3-meter solar extension cables and a four-in-one solar connection junction.

Other configurations are available.

Self-Powered Package hardware is expected to begin shipping in December 2026.
