Where do Startups meet Vendors? - I will not promote

Just curious, My company has experience with startups as a vendor, and we work in areas of compliance that are necessary for a number of industries, but I'm not seeing any meaningful connections from conferences we've been attending. I wonder if there's a niche community like /startups where we should be putting our attention? Just curious where everyone finds/builds their vendor team? I'm in operations not sales, but I've sat at that table to answer questions so many times, without noticing any benefit that I figured, let me ask around.
