Don’t confuse “people like it” with validation [i will not promote] Someone saying “that’s a cool idea” is nice, but it doesn’t tell you much. Stronger signals are things like: Someone gives you their time to try it Someone comes back without being reminded Someone changes their existing workflow Someone asks when they can use it Someone pays Someone recommends it to another person I still like compliments, obviously. But when evaluating an idea, I’d pay much more attention to behavior than enthusiasm.
