What is the cleanest way for me to migrate systems?
Hello there! I've been in the selfhosting game for around 1 and a half year now. I would still consider myself a novice. But I have definitely leveled up. My "problem": I currently have a Truenas Scale system up and running with the following apps installed: Immich Plex Jellyfin Tailscale Mealie More or less just Storage things (except from Tailscale). BUT I want to level up. I want to host other things that are not storage things. Mainly Home assistant for example or *arr stacks (I know they can technically be installed on truenas, but they are not storage applications). I would also like to "restart" with fresh datasets and permissions and just overall clean up that is not currently possible without some HEAVY refactoring of my current system. My current Truenas set up is VERY messy with naming all over the place and it's making my mild OCD hurt my brain! I'd rather just redo everything (if possible) and save all the immich photos and Plex media somewhere else (if possible). Question: What system is the most favorable right now? I read a lot about Proxmox, it looks great. I can also do a Truenas VM if I would still want to keep Truenas as is and then separately install Home assistant along side it. All help is welcome and I take it with open arms! Thank you all
