Need advice for openmediavault and copyparty

I have been using openmediavault as my NAS os for a while and it has been working great. I have been using its smb/cifs or NFS share to give access to files across my home network. This network share is used as a persistence storage for my containers either run on docker or k8s nodes. (fx. glance dashboard config file, navidrome's music storage and config) But recently i needed a webdav server to do a sync for my super-productivity service. So, i have run a copyparty container on the openmediavault pc with a directory mounted on it. As i understand on the copyparty's repo, copyparty also supports ftp and smb/cifs. So, i have the openmediavault and copyparty both sharing an smb/cifs service to the network. Even though it works fine, I don't feel its an elegant solution. An option i could change the openmediavault OS, and just change it to a ubuntu-server with docker running copyparty or other services. It is a choice, but it would burn some time and i'm not even sure if this is the most elegant solution. So, I would appreciate some advice or story how others run copyparty and/or their NAS solutions cleanly here. Thanks for reading :D
