How important is founder prestige regarding starting and scaling a startup? If it is not important, why do so many media visible founders have prestigious backgrounds. I will not promote

I’m a university student, and most Notable founders I look up had a prestigious university or job before the founder. Intuitively, it feels like this should not matter to be the “average successful founder”- Ie someone who creates a sustainable business and makes impact on an industry, but as a student it seems like the vast majority of founders seemed to have a better background than me (honors college at state school, substantive but not prestigious internships), making me anxious. Is prestige truly this important, or does LinkedIn and the internet skew my way of thinking, and only exposes to me to the ex BCG/Microsoft founders?
