Can’t get my Samba to share with my desktop

Every tutorial is either skipping the most important step in this or I am simply not understanding why it’s so simple and clear. I kinda got my windows pc to view the storage of samba I set up but it would never accept my credentials to actually access the folder. Does anyone know after I’ve installed samba the steps necessary to make it work, where to find the right ip and everything needed to let my windows pc access the storage drive? Otherwise I need some option better than samba to take my downloaded movies from my pc to my homelab storage that my jellyfin is going to read. Thank you so much
