If the internet was to stop existing tomorrow how prepared are you?

This question came to mind after a recent incident in certain areas of egypt where the internet is either completely down or reaching below dial up speeds, with cellular connectivity also being affected for over a month. Makes a person really think on how much of our data should be in the cloud, where when such an event happens it may become inaccessible. What do ya'll think?
