Reading walls of text is not always enjoyable (specially plan docs). What do people do to make it easier to digest?

Since LLMs loves to spit out essays, it is really un enjoyable now to read a lot of text. I found myself missing some important details because sometimes I do skim through what it says, specially during the planning phase. I have added a rule to create diagrams, it is somewhat OK but still there is a lot of text. Are more people having this problem? if yes how do you navigate around it? PS: I use custom output mode with ste100 simplified technical english (helps with the tone, not the length)
