What are the skills required to become an Interior Designer?

A little bit about me: I'm currently in the 4th year of BTech and plan to pursue an M.Des in interior design in India. I am staying in Hyderabad and have no plans to move for a job. So, What skills should I start learning to help me land a job? Which websites would help me? Which Instagram accounts and YouTube channels would help me? I heard that a portfolio is important (What exactly is a portfolio, what can I add to it), and where can I create it (website)? What can I do so that I can get an internship, and which websites would help be apply for them?
