SK Hynix’s Solidigm Is Said to Weigh US IPO as Soon as 2027
SK Hynix Inc.’s Solidigm is considering a US initial public offering as soon as next year, according to people familiar with the matter.
The world’s second biggest memory maker is in talks with potential advisers about a listing for the NAND memory unit, the people said, asking not to be identified as the information isn’t public.
Reuters was first to report the details of the outreach to banks and said that a listing could raise $15 billion at as much as a $150 billion valuation, citing people it didn’t immediately identify. A spokesperson for SK Hynix didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
The company was introduced in 2021 after SK Hynix acquired Intel Corp.’s flash memory business and renamed it Solidigm. It makes data-storage products for data centers with devices up to 122 terabytes in the size of a pack of cards, according to its website.
In August, the company announced a deal with CoreWeave Inc. to sell the so-called neocloud enterprise solid-state drive capacity which could support CoreWeave’s AI cloud platform. Other customers include Vast Data, Dell Technologies Inc., and Tencent Holdings Ltd., according to the website.
The Rancho Cordova, California-based company has 13 locations globally, including in Mexico, Canada and China, and has more than 2,000 employees.
