Yearly Upgrade from Apple Store

Has anyone done a yearly upgrade from the Apple store and received expected credits ? I know that I can get $1200 in credit over 24 months if I go with T-Mobile but how about getting it from the Apple store ? I can get $270 for my iPhone 16e which is eligible for $1200 in T-Mobile on my yearly upgrade line.
