Carola Di Poi is the head gardener of The Huntington’s Ranch and Kitchen Gardens. Before joining the panel for “Can We Squash Food Deserts?,” part of The Huntington’s Sunday Suppers series and co-presented by Zócalo Public Square and the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, she spoke to us in the green room about the food that represents home, her “problem child plant,” and a seed she’s growing for the future.
