Kazuo Ishiguro

I've read Never Let Me Go and currently reading Klara and the Sun Tonally the two books feels very similar. Feels like its "Victorian child dying of TB" set in a nonspecific future. How do these two novels compare to his other works? I was also fascinated to know that, while he was born in japan, he has lived in england since he was 5 and writes exclusively in English. His dialogue has a staccato tempo to it (may be at least to me) that feels very foreign.
