Comment on Choose Your Own Adventure by Kalin M. Nenov

I realize I'm late for people to notice this question, but: Has anyone read the Blood Sword series by Dave Morris and Oliver Johnson? It came out in the mid-1980s, and it was distinctly more "literary" than the typical CYOA or FF title; I remember that's where I learned the words "miasma" and "pylon." The books were also thicker, with as many as 600 sections/300 pages, and the story offered a heady mixture of world mythologies.

If you've read them, my more important question is: Can you recommend anything similar?
