Investing - Theory, News & General • Vanguard woes [Funds transferred to wrong IRA]

Longtime lurker, first time poster...
I'll keep it short, but am experiencing significant hassles getting Vanguard to correct a mistakenly applied transfer. Inherited IRA $ was transferred into personal IRA rather than inherited IRA per instructions. I've been dealing with this >1 month, and despite myriad phone calls, email correspondence, and empty promises, the funds remain mis-allocated. I'm really unsure what to do to get this resolved, and the whole ordeal causes me much chagrin. Previously I had great trust and respect for Vanguard. Despite holding $2m+ in various accounts with this firm, they are seemingly very disinterested in resolving a problem of their making or in me as a customer in general.

Does anyone have a direct line to someone in the back office who might be motivated to assist? In converting to Bogleheadedness years ago, I bit the bullet and closed out of EJ due to fees--but at least there I could call a human and get a resolution. Perhaps that's what you get for 1.2% AUM? I'm really not sure what to do outside of a FINRA and/or SEC complaint.

Ideas, anyone? Thanks.
