I had similar error with a small work-plan withdrawal destined for an IRA inadvertently being put in a Roth at Schwab 10 years ago. Error was discovered 2 days later -- the deposit slip had the wrong account listed. One call the Schwab got it fixed by the answering agent while I was on the phone. Transaction history label was "posting error".
