My first book and 3 months of Ember free
I wrote a book. That still feels odd to type.
It’s called Thinking With a Commonplace Book: The slow work of letting one sentence change you.
What this book is about
Somewhere, you have a collection. A notes app full of highlights. A shelf of notebooks. A folder of screenshots and half-copied lines.
Every so often you open it. You read back through lines that stopped you cold once, and you feel that warmth again. Then you close it. And nothing happens. Not that day, not that week.
The problem was never your system. It’s that collecting feels like the practice, and it isn’t. It’s the first half of a two-part motion, and almost everything written about notes and highlights is about that first half.
This book is about the whole rhythm. What’s worth keeping, how to clear your own mind onto the page, and what happens when you go back to an old line on purpose and let it meet who you’ve become since.
Inspired isn’t arrival. It’s the doorway. Most of us have been standing in it for years.
Before it goes to print, I want 5 people to read it and tell me how it landed.
The full book PDF will be available for $11.
The first 5 who fill out the form and can commit to reading this book will be sent a link grab the book.
In a few weeks, I’ll send a form for your feedback. Respond to the feedback form and I’ll set you up with three free months of Ember.
