Our Tribal Knowledge Is Getting Away “i will not promote”
Is anyone else dealing with this? Employee churn can feel like hitting the reset button on your company. Someone leaves, and suddenly years of tribal knowledge walk out the door with them. And then there’s the other side of it: having employees you probably wouldn’t keep if they weren’t carrying so much of the knowledge required to keep things running. I’m curious how other founders are dealing with this. How do you preserve the knowledge your people accumulate before they leave? And have you ever found yourself keeping someone around primarily because losing their knowledge would hurt too much?
