S&P 500 Futures Rise in Premarket Trading; lululemon athletica, Guidewire Software Lag

With U.S. stock markets set to open in two hours, Samsara Inc. (IOT) was up 14.0% in pre-market trading, and Planet Labs PBC (PL) was up 12.7%.

Ermenegildo Zegna N.V. (ZGN), ESCO Technologies Inc. (ESE), and Archrock Inc. (AROC) were all posting gains of at least 5%. In early trading, lululemon athletica inc. (LULU) and Guidewire Software Inc. (GWRE) had posted declines, falling 20.2% and 14.7%, respectively.

Meanwhile S&P 500 futures were up 0.05%, with futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.10%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures were down 2.71%.

In commodities news, Brent crude oil futures were down 0.39%, and gold futures were down 0.59%. Bitcoin was down 0.59% to $81,275.

The 10-Year Treasury yield fell to 4.768%.

In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow were up 1.06% and 1.18%, respectively. Stocks in Asia were mixed overnight, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index up 1.26% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index down 0.30%.

In afternoon trading, stocks in Europe are mixed, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index climbing 0.08% and the FTSE 100 Index declining 0.03% from the previous close.
