Apple’s big annual event could be about to deliver one of its biggest product refreshes in years.

The company has officially confirmed its ‘Surprise and shine’ event for September 9, although it hasn’t said exactly what it plans to unveil.

Here are all the major products currently rumored to make an appearance.

They seem to be ranging from a completely new iPhone category to upgraded AirPods and Apple’s long-awaited smart home hardware.

iPhone Ultra and iPhone 18 Pro could steal the show

iPhone Ultra – Apple’s first foldable iPhone

The biggest gadget announcement of the night could be Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone, which is widely expected to be called the iPhone Ultra.

Rumors suggest Apple has opted for a book-style design, with a roughly 7.8-inch internal display and a smaller cover screen.

The device is expected to sit firmly at the premium end of the market, with reports putting its price somewhere around $2,000 to $2,500.

It would mark Apple’s entry into a smartphone category that Samsung and other manufacturers have been developing for years.

iPhone 18 Pro

The iPhone 18 Pro is almost certainly going to be one of the stars of the event.

Reports point to Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, camera improvements and a smaller Dynamic Island.

There have also been rumors of a variable-aperture camera system, although exactly which Pro model gets the technology remains unclear.

The phone could also arrive in new colors, including a dark red or cherry-style finish, while Apple is reportedly working on further changes to the front-facing camera and Face ID system.

iPhone 18 Pro Max

The iPhone 18 Pro Max should share many of the Pro model’s upgrades, but Apple could give its biggest phone a few exclusive tricks.

One of the most interesting rumors is that the Pro Max could get a variable-aperture camera, potentially giving photographers greater control over how much light enters the lens.

It is also expected to have a larger battery than the regular Pro, although the exact specifications won’t be known until Apple officially reveals it.

Apple’s AirPods with cameras

This is one of the more unusual rumors surrounding the event.

Apple is reportedly working on AirPods with tiny cameras built into the stems, however, these aren’t expected to turn the earbuds into miniature action cameras.

Instead, the cameras could collect low-resolution visual information that is then used by Apple’s AI systems.

A leaked video reportedly showed the technology being used to recognize objects and provide contextual information through Siri, but most are unsure whether it’ll make a September 9 debut.

AirPods 5

The more conventional AirPods update could be the AirPods 5.

Apple is reportedly preparing new standard AirPods, potentially in versions with and without active noise cancellation.

Some rumors also point to new health-related capabilities and additional controls.

Unlike the camera-equipped AirPods, these are considered a much safer bet for the September event.

Apple Watch and smart home products could also get big upgrades

Apple Watch Series 12

The Apple Watch Series 12 is another expected September 9 announcement.

Rumors suggest the new watch could get an upgraded S-series chip, additional health features and potentially a ceramic case option.

There has also been speculation about further changes to the watch’s sensors and design.

It would continue Apple’s yearly Apple Watch refresh following the launch of the Apple Watch Series 11 in 2025.

Apple Watch Ultra 4

The rugged Apple Watch Ultra line could also be getting its next-generation model.

Apple’s Home Hub

Apple could finally make a serious push into the smart home with a new Home Hub, sometimes referred to in reports as the HomePad.

The device is rumored to feature a display and be designed as a central control panel for smart home accessories.

It could also be deeply integrated with Apple’s revamped Siri and Apple Intelligence, potentially allowing it to control devices, display information and handle communications.

However, this is one of the products where the September 9 timing is less certain, some reports suggest Apple’s smart home could instead arrive later in the year.

HomePod mini 2

The HomePod mini could finally be getting an update, too.

A second-generation HomePod mini has been rumored with a newer chip, improved wireless connectivity and support for Apple’s newer AI-powered Siri features.

Apple hasn’t updated the HomePod mini since its original launch in 2020, so a second-generation model would be a particularly notable refresh.

That said, reports disagree over whether the HomePod mini 2 will actually appear at the September event or be saved for a later launch.

Apple’s TV 4K

Finally, Apple could have a new Apple TV 4K waiting in the wings.

The rumored model could receive a significant processor upgrade and greater support for Apple Intelligence and the company’s new Siri experience.

There have also been reports of wireless connectivity improvements and changes to the remote.
