Editor
- Added color highlights. Add a color emoji (🔴, 🟠, 🟢, 🔵, 🟣) to the start of a highlight to change its color, or pick a color from the new formatting submenu.
- Typing
==in the editor now suggests highlight colors. - Live Preview: When the cursor overlaps a highlight, an inline swatch now appears. Click it to quickly change the highlight color.
Bases
- Added a new kanban layout to display files in ordered columns. Use Group by to define the columns, then drag and drop to reorder them.
- Groups are now collapsible in the table, cards, and list layouts.
Improvements
- The entire workspace, including the sidebars, now flips when Obsidian is set to a right-to-left (RTL) language. Commands stay the same, so "Toggle left sidebar" now refers to the visual left sidebar, even when the interface is flipped.
- Closing popout windows (such as Settings) is now much faster.
- Editor: Pasting a list item onto a line that already contains a list marker (e.g.
- [ ]) no longer duplicates the marker. - Editor: Improved the inline formatting commands. For example, "Toggle bold" on this line:
now results in:some **bold |text** on the line|some **bold text on the line**

- Fixed periodic input lag in large vaults caused by properties getting recomputed in the background.
- Fixed copy and paste not working correctly in popout windows, including copying and pasting notes in Canvas.
- Web viewer: Fixed Google sign-in failing.
- Bases: Fixed the "+" button not generating correct frontmatter for unresolved links, e.g.
file.hasLink("[[unresolved]]"). - Editor: Fixed OptionShift↑ and OptionShift↓ not working consistently on macOS in long paragraphs, where the scroll position would sometimes reset and the text selection would be incorrect.

. - Editor: Fixed ↑ not moving from the editor to the inline title when there are no properties.
- Note composer: Fixed "Extract this heading" not preserving the newline when there is only one newline between the section and the next heading.
Developers
- Replaced MathJax with Temml for rendering math in Live Preview and Reading mode.
- Editor: Each line of a math block (
$) now has the.HyperMD-mathclass. - Settings: Added optional
SettingDefinitionItem#idfor setting a unique ID on individual settings. Think of it like in React. Use it to differentiate between sibling settings that share a name, or to keep a stable reference when a setting or setting page is renamed.
