I have fond memories of playing Oregon Trail on our Franklin Ace 1000s at school back in the early 1980s! I few years back I picked up several vintage systems including an Apple //e that came with it. Adults and kids alike all laughed at its primitive graphics before becoming enraptured and playing for hours.

I'm sorry to read that your father has passed. Just lost mine as well, also born in 1940.
