Lanes were closed Monday afternoon in the suburbs on the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) after a semi spilled a load of bricks onto the highway, with both sides shut down and traffic building.
According to Illinois State Police, a semi rolled over and spilled a load of concrete bricks onto the roadway at I-290 westbound at Thorndale in Itasca. According to ISP, both the east and westbound lanes were shut down due to debris.
“Seek an alternate route,” ISP advised.
