NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago to host conversation with Mayor Brandon Johnson

NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago and WVON 1690 AM will host a conversation with Mayor Brandon Johnson Wednesday, Aug. 26, giving viewers an opportunity to hear directly from Mayor Johnson about key issues impacting the city.

The special event will take place in NBC Chicago’s newsroom forum from 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. CT. Approximately 30 audience members made up of NBC 5 and Telemundo Chicago’s “Community Action Board,” consisting of civic leaders throughout the city, will be in attendance.

The event will be moderated by NBC 5 political reporter Mary Ann Ahern, Telemundo Chicago political reporter Iris Berríos and WVON 1690 AM afternoon host Matt McGill.

The conversation will air live on NBC 5, Telemundo Chicago, WVON 1960 AM and the 24/7 NBC Chicago streaming channel, which can be found here and on the NBC Chicago app. The conversation will also be streamed in the video at the top of this page once it begins.
