my first post outside gamedev circles got me BANNED

Thought I'd share a casual story about my free desktop game in a major gaming sub today since it releases tomorrow. Moderators came in and slapped me with an instant 30-day ban for my first post there, no warning. It was actually getting a pretty warm reception too. How do you guys even navigate posting outside of dev subs?
