Genuine questions about using AI for some visual parts of my game

Hey everyone! I'm a software engineer who's looking into making games on the side. I'd like to preface this by saying that I'm looking for practical experiences from developers here rather than starting a broader debate about the ethics of this. I have this game idea and I'm in the process of sourcing asset packs to use. I've found great ones already for the environment and music but I couldn't find good ones for the protaganists and NPCs that would fit the style. I also don't have a huge budget. So I'm thinking I'd build the environment using these packs, take some screenshots of the assembled environment, generate some images of characters that would fit this style, then make an AI generated 3d model to use in game after it is carefully reviewed and cleaned up. Here are my questions: If I disclose that only some part of my game was made with generative AI while the majority wasn't does that noticeable impact sales and wishlists? I'd appreciate it if there were studies done on this or some real developer experience. Does hiring an artist to make 3d models cost a lot? Say 10-15 3d humanoid models fully rigged. Are AI generated 3d models viable and production ready after minor reviews and modifications? Do regular players on steam react strongly towards AI-generated assets? If I have AI-generated assets does it hurt when I reach out to streamers for marketing and coverage? Am I overlooking another low budget option? My characters would be stylized low poly Victorian/Gothic humanoids. Thank you!
