For a more tongue-in-cheek perspective, I believe the greatest perk of Fallout 2 is its idiot run:
Especially the way your idiot of a protag solves the quest of copying some info on a diskette (or I forget what kind of drive).
Were you guys aware of that? :)
Later RPGs (e.g. The Outer Worlds) have tried doing this kind of highly customized shenanigans, but their more expensive assets and production values keep them from diving deep. Dammit, quadruple A games. :(
