How to teach calculus?

My sister needs to take calculus as a prereq for a career change, and I said I would help/take the class with her. She’s never liked math (hated, actually), and I want to help her in a way that makes sense/motivates well. For context, I have a degree in computer science and a minor in math, and I semi-recently took real analysis (I enjoy algebra much more so I used most of my credits there). I’m wondering how much of my experience with that can be applied to teaching calc 1? Obviously the formalism of real analysis is too much, but is there anything in there that can be shown as good motivation to someone who wouldn’t go out of her way to look for it?
