How have you used your alumni network for your startup? I will not promote

I’m currently reaching out to my alumni network to hopefully get access to new customers. I’m also using this to get some early feedback on my pitch and ability to sell. I’m curious how else founders have used their alumni network to further their startups at early stage. I solemnly swear that I will not promote
