Speed is relative: If galaxies recede faster than light, are we moving into the future or the past? [duplicate]

Here is a thought experiment: All motion in the universe is relative and depends on the frame of reference.Suppose a friend is on a distant galaxy, and due to cosmic expansion, the distance between us increases faster than the speed of light (

gt; c$). If we place a reference planet right in the middle, then from my point of view, my friend is moving away faster than light—and from their perspective, I am doing the exact same thing. If we consider this the "real relative velocity" between our two frames of reference, what happens to time according to relativity? Are we moving into the future, or are we effectively slipping into each other's past? I’d love to hear your thoughts and theoretical perspectives on this!
