Exploring theory Could gravity have push/ pull phases like AC/DC to expand universe? [closed]
I'm exploring an idea and want to check if this aligns with current theory:
Could gravity have a push/pull duality? Same field pulling when dense (like dark matter scaffolding that holds galaxies together) and pushing when diffuse (like dark energy's negative pressure in voids)?
The analogy I'm using is AC/DC - one current, two directions depending on how the circuit is wired. One dark thing that acts like dark matter when it's dense and clumped, and acts like dark energy when it's stretched thin and diffuse - like water acting as ice or steam depending on conditions.
If dark energy has negative pressure and negative pressure gravitates repulsively in Einstein's math, could there be a single field that pulls when positive pressure / high density (the bright white cluster in SMACS 0723) and pushes when negative pressure / low density (the voids between galaxies shown in the blue COSMOS dark matter map with 800k galaxies)?
